Excellent News About That Mirrors Edge (Playstation 3, XBOX360) Song By Lisa Miskovsky

Now let’s be clear - I’m aware of other versions of this song floating around the Internet - of which I have no interest in. I only care about the version in Mirrors Edge because it literally makes every bone of my body quiver with - angst? I dunno - there’s something haunting about it. Whoever at DICE decided this song suited their video game instantly gets more credit than Einstein in my eyes.

Anyway, news is that Lisa Miskovsky’s “Still Alive” will be released as a digital download to coincide with the games launch in November, along with five other less-interesting remixes.

I’m still waiting for the moment when people go - “woah! Faith. Woah - Mirrors Edge”. She’s the next Lara Croft ladies and gentlemen. Expect a movie. With Kristin Kreuk. And Lisa Miskovsky’s song.

The Next Lara Croft. Expect A Kristin Kreuk Movie.

Is Faith the best designed video game character is a long time? I think she might well be, yes.

Andy Murray Reaches Semi-Finals Of The US Open

Andy Murray Reaches US Open Quarters

Andy Murray Reaches US Open Quarters

If anything has been a sign of Murray’s improvement this year it’s been his results. You can go on and on all you like about his increase in physical strength and improved attitude but at the end of the day they mean nothing without performances to back it. The Wimbledon, Cincinatti Masters and US Open run have proven his improvement more than any amount of bicep flexing.

It’s heartening to know that Murray is still improving too.

I don’t think he’ll beat Rafael Nadal in the semi-final but I know he’ll give him a tough match, probably a tougher one that he got at Wimbledon this year. I still don’t believe any players come close to Nadal and (an on form) Federer. They’re kind of in their own exclusive group where they can only beat each other.

I truely believe that Murray is a part of a secondary group (along with the likes of Djokovic) that are really challenging the top two.

Good luck Andy Murray and enjoy your new spot at 4th (4TH!!!) in the World Rankings.

Berbatov Going To Man City — You’re Fucking Kidding Me Right?

Manchester City Have Apparently Put In Over £30 Million For Berbatov.

Manchester City Have Apparently Put In Over £30 Million For Berbatov.

Another club bought out by business tycoons with too much money? I couldn’t give two flying fucks if they think they can afford Torres, Villa, Ronaldo, Lampard and every fucking other player under the sun. Just stop fucking up the Berbatov deal.

Andy Murray Out Of The Olympic Games

Andy Murray Is Out Of The Olympic Games

Andy Murray Is Out Of The Olympic Games

Well what better way to say “good morning” than watch a British hopeful get knocked out from the Olympic Games in the first round against a virtual unknown. Woohoo. That’s put me in a great mood for the rest of the day.

The fact is though, his opponent, Lu Yen-Tsun would have given any of the top 10 players a run for their money today because he was insanely good. Taking the first set after a tie-break 7-6 he took the second set 6-4 after a couple of long deuce games.

Murray seemed tired and frustrated but still played a relatively ok match despite problems with his second serve. Lu Yen-Tsun on the other hand either played the match of his life or is a serious contender to become a future Top 20 player. Considering he’s a relative unknown, if he’s consistently churning out performances like that he should be playing more Grand Slams.

On a side note, well done to Nicole Cooke yesterday who secured the UK’s first gold.

Andy Murray Takes Cincinatti Masters Title And Reaches Sixth In The World Rankings

Andy Murray Claimed His First Masters Title In Cincinatti Last Night

Andy Murray Claimed His First Masters Title In Cincinatti Last Night

What a proper tense match last night between Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic in the final of the Cincinatti Masters. Murray started and consistently looked the better player throughout the match, Djokovic looked tired and resigned, but after Murray missed his chance at taking 4 championship points in the second set I thought that he might crumble. Thankfully a tiebreaker saw Murray through and to his sixth career title. The final scores being 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (7-5).

Djokovic, who has developed a friendly rivalry with Murray in recent years, had a 4-1 advantage over the Scotsman. However, Murray’s solitary win came just 9 days prior in Toronto and it really demonstrated the leaps and bounds Murray has taken as a player.

Following the win Murray has gone up 3 places in the rankings to a career high of 6th in the world. His next stop is at the Beijing Olympics.

Well done Andy.

Rafael Nadal The King Of Wimbledon After Roger Federer Five-Set Thriller

Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer Wimbledon 2008 winner

What a match! I think both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer were SO evenly matched it was pretty much impossible to pick a winner from the match and although Nadal came out victorious in the end both players were the justified winners because they provided such a spectacle.

Congratulations to Rafa, commiserations to Roger - same time next year?

Andy Murray Doesn’t Need To Beat Nadal, He’s Shown Enough For Me

Andy Murray through to quarter finals

There’s nothing I’d love more than to see Murray knock out the French Open winner, Rafa Nadal - - but I said at the start of the tournament, if he reaches a quarter final or anything better he’ll have done extremely well.

I believe he can trouble Nadal. Though I only have 48 hours for my finger nails to grow back and my heart to slow down I simply can’t wait to see him pit his talent against one of the games best.

However, it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t win. For me he’s shown enough spirit, tenacity and drive aswell as fan interaction for me to be proud of his development as a player. I actually have wanted to support him this tournament where at other times I kinda wished I wasn’t. Mainly due to his attitude.

He’s grown up and has improved as a player. The only place he’s going is up - - whether he beats Nadal or not I’m certain he will be back next year a better player.
